Krista Kapitan, MEDI

Krista is dedicated to addressing social, economic, and environmental sustainability issues and opportunities in the agri-food sector and rural communities. Since joining Wilton Consulting Group in 2017, she has supported dozens of clients with more than 30 projects. Krista has led the development of several regional agriculture and agri-food strategies and strategic plans for municipal clients, as well as for provincial and national agricultural organizations. Krista understands the importance of local, regional, and national perspectives in supporting the agriculture and agri-food sector. She thrives in working with diverse communities in agriculture and rural development.

Krista holds her master’s degree in Economic Development and Innovation from the University of Waterloo, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a major in economics and policy from the University of Guelph. She uses her expertise to assist clients in supporting the viability and sustainability of Canada’s rural and agricultural communities.
