Andrea Gal, PhD

Andrea is dedicated to supporting sustainability and innovation in the Canadian agri-food industry and rural communities. In addition to her role with Wilton Consulting Group, Andrea manages her family farm in Oxford County, Ontario. Her family farm includes cash crop and cow-calf operations, as well as seed and fertilizer dealerships. Andrea is also experienced with conducting field-sized research trials. Andrea serves in a leadership capacity in several ag organizations. She is the Chair of Farm Management Canada, and a member of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture’s Policy Advisory Council.

Andrea holds a PhD in History from Wilfrid Laurier University with a focus on rural Ontario. Prior to joining Wilton Consulting Group, Andrea served as the Managing Editor of Better Farming, Better Pork and Farms.com, where she enjoyed connecting with, and learning from, farmers and other members of the industry across Canada. Here, she gained experience with knowledge translation and transfer and plain-language writing.
